Venezia Unica city pass optimizer
Pick your days, your rides, and the museums you'll visit. The tool returns whether the bundled Venezia Unica card beats buying everything separately.
What this solves
Venezia Unica is the official Comune portal where you can bundle ACTV transport with museum tickets into a single card. Rolling Venice (€20) is a youth discount that beats almost every other pass for short stays. The Venice Pass 24h / 72h / 7-day variants bundle transport + museums but the breakeven depends entirely on how often you ride. This tool does the side-by-side math.
How to read the result
"Buy separately" is the cost of the right ACTV pass plus individual museum tickets. "Bundle" is what you'd pay on Venezia Unica for the equivalent coverage. The cheapest option depends on the count of rides and museum value. Rolling Venice is offered as a separate row if you qualify.
Bundle savings shrink fast if you skip museums. If you only need transport, the ACTV pass alone (see vaporetto pass optimizer) is usually cheaper.
Limitations
FAQ
Do I need the Venezia Unica card or can I use the app?
The card is a reloadable smartcard (€5 issuance). The Venezia Unica app is the mobile version. Both work on ACTV turnstiles and at museum gates.
Is Rolling Venice worth it for one museum?
For one day with 3+ ACTV rides and age 18-29, Rolling Venice is unbeatable (€20 vs €45+ for 72h pass).
Can I share my card?
No. Each traveler needs their own. The card is tied to one name (ID required for Rolling Venice).
