Venice Compass Money

Spritz price comparator

Pick the neighborhood and seating style. The tool returns the expected spritz price band and flags when you're paying for the view.

What this solves

A spritz in Venice is €4 at a backstreet bacaro, €8 in a campo, and €15+ at a San Marco piazza bar. Tourists don't always realize that the same drink at the same quality costs very different prices based on location. This tool returns the expected band and the threshold above which you're paying for the view.

How to read the result

"Expected band" is the typical low-to-high for a spritz (Aperol, Select, Campari, etc.) in that seating context. "Tourist signal" is the threshold above which the venue is pricing for foot traffic, not for the drink.

Standing at the banco saves €3-€7 vs sitting at a table. The same drink, same glass, same staff — just no seat.

Limitations

FAQ

Is there a happy hour?

Not a formal one. Spritz is the aperitivo by default. The €7-€9 spritz + cicchetti combo is the universal €15-€18 dinner substitute.

Which style is most Venetian?

Select Spritz (with Select bitter, not Aperol). It is the original Venetian recipe from the 1920s and is more bitter than Aperol. See the spritz style selector.

Is coperto included in the spritz price?

No. If you sit at a table, expect €2-€4 coperto per person. See the coperto decoder.
