Redentore fireworks viewing

Pick your group size, budget, and willingness to book. The tool returns the best viewing spot with cost, comfort, and the lead time to book it.

What this solves

Festa del Redentore (third Saturday of July) is the second-biggest night of the Venetian calendar, after Carnevale. The fireworks over the lagoon are 45 minutes long and start at 23:30. The viewing spots — Zattere, San Giorgio, Redentore island, Giudecca — each have different trade-offs (cost, crowd, view angle). This tool picks the right one for your party.

How to read the result

"Recommended" is the best spot for your group. "Cost" is the realistic per-person cost including drinks/food. "Crowd" flags how packed it will be. "Lead time" is how far in advance to book if applicable.

The Saturday of Redentore week, the floating bridge across the Giudecca canal opens at 18:00 for the patron procession. It is a remarkable thing to walk — if you're in Venice that week.

Limitations

FAQ

Can I watch from a boat?

Yes — the San Marco basin fills with private boats. Most cost €100-€300 per person for a 3-4 hour experience.

When is the best vantage?

Zattere (Dorsoduro) gets the side view, San Giorgio gets the angle close to the fireworks. Both are excellent.

What about the patron mass?

The Saturday evening mass at the Redentore basilica is the religious event. Free entry, dress code applies.
