Marco Polo arrival selector
Pick your party size, luggage, and where you're staying. The tool returns the cheapest option that actually drops you on a dock near your hotel.
What this solves
There are four honest options out of Marco Polo (VCE): Alilaguna boats, ATVO buses to Piazzale Roma, water taxi, and private hire. Travel guides usually only compare two and skip that Alilaguna's three lines stop at different docks. The bus gets you to Piazzale Roma, then you still need a vaporetto or taxi. This tool picks the cheapest option that drops you close to where you're actually staying, with time and total cost.
How to read the result
Each option is graded for your hotel district. "Recommended" is the lowest total cost that doesn't break your luggage party. Late-night arrivals narrow the choices — Alilaguna shuts down before midnight, ATVO runs every 30 minutes.
Alilaguna is the orange-branded boat service, not the ACTV vaporetto. Their tickets are separate. If you have a multi-day ACTV pass, it does NOT cover the airport boat.

FAQ

No. Venice Marco Polo has no rail link. The ATVO bus to Mestre station is the rail connection.
How long does Alilaguna take?
Blu (to San Zaccaria) is the slowest, ~70 min. Rossa (Murano/San Marco) is ~50 min. Arancio (F.te Nuove / Rialto) is ~50 min.
Can I book Alilaguna online?
Yes, on alilaguna.it. Online tickets are valid for any line on the booked date; same price as the dock.
